Opel Dakar Team startet Silk Way

The Opel Dakar Team, which is frosted with 235/85 R16 Open Country M / TR tires, starts at the Silk Way Rally in Moscow.
From Luzhniki Olympic stadium over the ceremonial start on Red Square is what the 3 countries are crossed in a grueling 15 days race. Before the riders arrive by a lush 10,000 km journey on July 24 in Beijing, they will go encounter a variety of terrains such as sand, gravel and mud. The first highlight was a 2km long course in the Kazan-Arena, a specially prepared course which gives the spectators from the stands a look at the cars in action.
Balázs Szalay and his co-driver László Bunkoczi be the race in its Opel Mokka, equipped with Toyo Tires, deny. The tires were to give due to their rugged construction and high mileage, even in racing conditions, selected to the Team reliability under extreme conditions. The team has a tough fight to stay close to the top teams. Continuity is the Peugeot team with drivers Stéphane Peterhansel, Current winner of the Dakar, and Sebastian Loeb, former world rally champion. The former Dakar winner, Team X-Raid to take, with some of their well-prepared Minis part in the race, which means a further challenge for Balázs.
